Getting the astroturf off was the easy part. Then we had to grind off the mastic. We tried a heat gun first, but that was slow and tedious. Then we tried chiseling it off, but that was slow and ineffective. Finally our next door neighbor suggested that we try his masonry tool for getting the mortar out from between bricks. It wasn't fast, but it did the trick! |
We bought our own to make it go a little faster. |
Dad wanted to try our soy-based mastic remover one more time. It hadn't worked before, but he thought that letting it sit might do the trick. (Turns out, that didn't work either.) |
